No, I kept the quad shocks. I drove quite a while this weekend to test it out and I don't have any rubbing. I'm putting on EBC brakes and tubular A-arms right now

Been following this thread and some others for a bit, noticed that the 10th anniversary wheels are on Kuch’s wish list? I got ‘em. I need to mount them up and get them on the car. I’m also in New England, FWIW. I’d love to see/hear your solution to the lowering issue. I think I’m headed in the exact same direction. I’ll post pics once I get over the rainy lazies.

Rain,
did you get the staggered size wheels or the same front and back? I would love to see them on your car as they are still one of my favorite rims for these cars. thanks

Staggered. I’m fairly certain the 17x9 w/ 275/40 series is going to fit with the tire even with the fender. Running 17x8 w/ 255/40 up front on the Anthracite kit from LMR.

Has anyone tried 03/04 Mach 1 springs? I found a low mile used set for a reasonable price and they're on the way now. 600# front and 250# rear, both linear rates. The rear is the same as the stock springs so I'm not sure if they'll be a little too light with the stiffer fronts but we'll see how it goes.

Funny you should ask that about Mach 1 springs, I just bought me a set about a month ago and plan on swapping them into mine in the spring to see how they look. I do have maximum motorsports adjustable rear control arms to adjust the height as the Mach's are lowered from a stock SN-95 spring. If you do not have adjustable control arms, my thought is they would be too low in the back.

I bought urethane isolaters for both front and rear springs so I should be able to help with the rear height a little bit there. I have UMI upper and lower control arms that I'm going to be putting on but they do not have height adjustability like the Maximum motorsports arms. UMI has what they call their roto-joint which allows the suspension to move without binding the bushing. Other companies offer similar arms but these looked like the best option and still allowed a stock style spring.
I had to use adjustable upper and lower arms because the length for the applications they offered was not 100% correct but with the adjustable length you can get there and be safely within the range of the arm.

Just checking that the upper and lower rear control arms are for a Thunderbird not a Mustang?  Mustang are too short.
