For the past 6 months my speedometer has not been functional. After sitting for a week the speedo starting working again and has been working all week. What would cause this? Is it a cable driven speedo or electronic? Thanks for any insight.

Well that was short lived, it stopped working again lol

Most common issue is the multi pin electrical connectors that connect the cluster to the rest of the electrical system. Sometimes all it takes is to disconnect / reconnect the connectors a few times to clean some of the dirt / oxidation off the connectors.
