The J3 port is part of the EEC and is at the rear of the EEC, the opposite side of where the wire harness is. With the design of it, if there was something attached to it, it would probably be external and you would see it as an add-on.

Well, now I feel stupid. I guess it will go faster. In my defense though, I did just get rid of the cat, and it has never continued to pull like that up high before. I have also never had the needle stay pegged for a second before it started to drop when I slowed down like this time either. I had it up to about 4600 in fifth w/ 245 50 16's. Dunno how fast that is, but it was moving faster than I have ever taken this car.

assuming that you have the stock 3.55 rear in it you were doing in the area of 135-140 mph... if it has the 3.73 gear you were doing in the area of 125-130... that's using this link...

How tall of a tire are you figuring for. I think that a 245 50 16(what I have) is only something like 25.5, or maybe 26. I used a calculator that took the size of the tire, and figured height on its own, and it said that I would have been doing about 125 on the 245 50 16s, and if they would have been 225 60 16's that I would have been doing about 130.

With 245/50/16s you were going 123-124mph at 4600 rpm. I used this calculator for the speed...

I used this calculator for the tire height...

By the way. Trans gear for 5th is .8. Rear end diff is 3.55 for manual trans.

so momar, all you changed was you removed the cat and thats it? I have this problem of only pulling to 100 but would only ridding the cat help?

Well, I am also running more boost than I used to. I hadnt really tried recently to go over 100 even after I turned up the boost, because I just thought I was limited to around 100.

Also, in its current state, I have no cat, or catback. I just basically have a downpipe, and turndown. I have a piece of pipe that i have welded a dynomax bullet muffler in w/ turndown that I am going to put on when I can get it to an exhaust shop to have them flare the pipe so it will slip fit.

I dont know if the cat was real plugged or not, but it rattled when I cut it off. I doubt that it was to bad though because I was able to run a 9.59 @ 72mph in the 1/8 mile. I had a spring fail in my home made boost control valve and had to throw in another one I had that didnt give me quite as much boost, but I cut a 9.58 @ 70 mph friday. If I would have still been getting the boost and ran 72 mph, I think I could have been 9.4s. I cut a couple 1.9x 60 fts friday on street tires.
