There are offset brake boosters made to solve this issue. I don't know if any would work for Foxbodys.

The articles I read said to use the 93 Mustang Cobra brake booster & MC, so that's what I bought. But no one mentioned what a PITA it is to install it. I have seen where anyone mentioned about using an offset brake booster or what car it came out of.

It's been about 10 years ago but I did the brake booster conversion to my Bird following the instructions here and I didn't have any trouble getting it in. I remember getting the booster/MC from ebay but I made sure to get one from the late 80's. Is it possible you have one from the wrong year?

Current setup - 88 T-bird, 5 speed, vacuum assist master cylinder, T3/T4 50 trim turbo from Bo-port, oil feed & return lines, 3” turbo down elbow, 3" to 2.5" dual exhaust and PiMPx from Stinger 255LPH fuel pump, CD, trip-minder, RR , K&N, 140 MPH speedo conversion (thanks Jeff K).
