Today I replaced the plug and plug wires on my car. When I removed the the plugs I noticed that there was a red deposit on the electrode. The deposit was on all of the spark plugs. I was wondering what could have caused it?

Have you ever run any type of octane booster in you car? It will color the plugs red, and if its been a little while, it might of burnt off everything but the electrode.

Thats pretty normal from additives in the fuel or when you run cleaners, octane boosters etc.As long as it isn't white or speckled, you should be fine.

Thanks for you help, that must have been it. A month ago i filled up with my first tank of premium and i wanted to make sure that the 87 octane was balanced out, so i added some STP octane booster. Again, thankyou for all the help, and I must say that this site must have one of the fastest reply times.
