Some inspiration for local meets

I would like to start by saying a VERY HUGE THANKS to all of those involved in making this board and the annual meets happen. Carlisle is a blast and Dayton is a lot of fun also.

Today we had a simple meet in Conneaut,Ohio and as usual it was a lot of fun.It isn't about who has a nicer car or who has a faster car or any of that.(because Pauls car is nicer than mine and steves is faster) It is just great people with a similar interest visiting with each other.

I would like to encourage others to do the same, plan a dinner, breakfast cookout or whatever and get to know your fellow members.Even a trip to the casino can be fun. (gambling problem? call 1-800-GAMBLER) or maybe even the (cough cough) strip-club.

Even if your car is a work-in-progress or it doesn't run, if you can get to meet others, do it.I know a lot of times it is not possible to attend due to time or financial reasons, but I think that we need to make more of an effort to get together.

LETS GET THINGS SHOKE UP and get the blood pumping. If you are going on a trip or just have some spare time, post it up and let others know where you are going and maybe stop in for a coffee or a beer. I live just south of Erie,PA and if anybody is going to be near, pm me and I will do my best to meet with you.

There are a lot of us that drive our cars a lot and sometimes we have issues. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to call someone that is local for a helping hand whether it be directions, advice on lodging, dining or mechanical problems. The more people that you know the better.

Thanks again and everybody be safe. Eric

Mike, Im glad youre a man of your word Smile I had forgotten about that being a remanufactured motor, it changes the plans Ive been working on by quite a bit actually, I was going to rebuild the motor on my stand, (the one yours replaced) and put all my new toys on it, but to save time and money now, I think Im just going to put all the new goodies on this motor, and sell the other. Saved me a few hundred bucks and who know how many hrs with a rebuild and swap. Wish my damn memory was better lol. Eric, I dont wanna hear any comments about that! lol
