SN-95 ABS system in TC?

Has anyone replaced the TEVES with a Bosch based ABS system from a SN-95, '96 or newer? The whole system (ecus, relays, accuators, sensors, etc), not just the booster assemblies . I know it's been done with "minimal" difficulty on FOX Stangs so it shouldn't be impossible for the 87/88 TCs with a little patience.

With the rebuilt TEVES boosters going for $1100 but the SN95 unit going for 200-400, the long term saving, reliability and parts availability outway the time and initial money spent!

If anyone has done this swap, I have have some wiring questions.

Thanks
Mikey

Nope....good luck with that....not many people do the aftermarket ABS deal. When the system is setup for a particluar car, there is lots of testing that goes into it.

Those who have done the swap on FOX Stangs claim great success. If I can get all the components and wiring I'll figure something out.

Ya, good ole GW! 15 years and we haven't sunk her yet! We're getting ready to take her to Japan for a Homeport change later this year.....Now if I can only find some JDM parts that will work on the 2.3T's :-)

The 83-88 TBird is a lot closer to the size/weight of the SN95 Mustang then the 79-93 fox is. I think you could get it to work perfectly. Swap in SN95 spindles/brakes on the front, the whole rear-end, the master cylinder, and do a little line-making and wire-splicing. You'd end up with 5-lug wheels, retain the ABS and 4-wheel-disc, and have a much better availability of serviceable parts.

don't know if this will help i swaped to sn95 spindles this allows 95 hup assembly and 5lug rotors. for your brakes a cnc master cylinder has 2 reservoirs for front and back brakes no need for proportioning valve.for the back swap axles with sn95 rear axles 94to 98 will due now you can put just about any wheel you want on and with 17in wheels you can put 13"rotors ect,,if you shop around you can do it for around $800 and still have 4way disk brakes.
