When going to a 2.5 crank to stroke your motor, you can use small journal caps with spacers to make it work with your existing block.

You can get small journal caps from any 2.3 mustang or ranger 88+ years. They all have the small caps.

On my engine we just used a set of bearing spacers. I have a set of caps if that's the way you want to go. Also have never used reground crankshaft, for the 2.5 conversion. The rods and mains are .25mm also have the rod and main bearings. I ran across a billet crank before got the chance to use it, so still in box.
Restoring a 88TC Auto into a 5-Speed with hydrolic clutch. So far, paint job, engine rebuild. Supension rebuild.
