How can I restore this knob. I like the fact that it still has deep impressions if shifts and "turbo" logo but it has a dry spot that I would like to fix. Whats a good way to fix this..

Like some leather coats, there is/was a semi or gloss finish on it that is now wearing off. You might try talking to a good leather or shoe repair shop and see what they recommend. I got some black leather dye at a leather sale shop but it was only a semi gloss. I used it on a coat and also on that shift boot I had for sale here a few months ago. See pic. Uniformity of finish color was good.
