I feel like I hit the lotto! Big Grin Fired up FIRST PULL baby! Idles like a sewing machine, boosts like a fighter jet! I am impressed to no ends with this combo. It's actually QUIET, even with an open 2' long exhaust. Smooth as butter, too. I already put 30 miles on her going down Chuckanut (actual road, and one of the best twisties on the West Coast, ask Matt S!). Oil pressure was awesome, no leeks, no codes, no problems. I have a TC .63 A/R T3 with a modified outlet tube and custom hose, and it fits perfect and holds at least 18 Psi with no BPV! I hit that at 3K by the way, half throttle. This cam makes some TORQUE. I haven't even goosed her all the way yet and it's easily the fastest TC I've ever had. It feels like it would kill the SHO, so I hope it actually has something for Bob! (Sorry I took so long! It's OK, now you can whoop on me even more with that whale of a Capri! Wink ) Man, I am SOOO HAPPY right now! I went down to the bar and bought the guys from work a round. Just a perfect night. When's that track open???

It feels like it should be copied and sold to every serious TC power-monger! This car idles and has the torque curve of an AMC 390! (I know this from experience) And the extra $$$ for all Royal Purple fluids was definately worth it! The tranny shifts like new. I'm very impressed with the clutch, it's got stock pedal feel and better transition then I expected. Not bad for a 6-puck more strip then street clutch. It's my second RAM and I'm very happy. I don't think I'll be able to bring myself to muffle that beautiful turbo howl though. What am I still doing here? Se ya'll later, I'm going driving!!!

Who cares about mufflers? Big Grin I literally run just a stock downpipe with the cat gutted. 5.0's with Flowmasters are louder if the car is below 3,000 RPM.

Hey Mike, how did you break the motor in? I've been reading up on that too since it appears that I'm going to be building a motor soon Smile

Just think how happy you would be with one making some power Wink

That why a lot us run the Ranger roller, its all about power under the curve Wink

Head south and get some ET and MPH data so we know for sure. That or stop on the way to Carlisle and see how the big dogs run!

Glad you got it running, take it easy on the break in so we dont get to see more pictures of pistons with holes in them Sad

I'm being EXTREMELY cautious on the break-in. I have a set plan my grandfather came up with years ago, and his race car goes 7.80's at 160 so I ain't gonna argue with him.

Bob: I LOVE power under the curve! I almost wish that I put my big valves in this motor, but I am interested in seeing a back-to-back, so in the name of science she stays. I'm very pleased with the performance so far. I had no idea .63 T3's could spin so fast! We're talking 22 psi by 3000 RPM! How's that for head flow? I can't wait for the spring and the tracks to open, I plan on running the full points season at PIR. I need to get the suspension sorted over the winter and make sure all the bugs are out of her. No pistons with holes, I promise! Wink

Hey, if I make it to Carlisle, I'll gladly go to a track night with you just to say I got whooped by Bob! (Even if you have to do it in the fly-weight Capri *stick-poke*)

Well Mike, if you don't need that SHO anymore.... I think I'd like to take a crack at it. Has my boy told you about my latest adventure? I am buying the new Atom 2 w/o the motor. I don't want the chevy 2 liter (appearently nobody else does either) & thought that was a perfect platform for a SHO motor! Maybe his transfer to WASHINGTON is a blessing. THe new plant is in Oregon. About 3 hrs from your house. I think I'll fly up there & watch the progress... Ever chop up a SHO before???? Call me, your my new GOTO guy!
My children are bleeding away my family fortune!
