I'm not, by far in the rich class, but I do have a collector car.

With the way this country is being run (into the ground), I wouldn't be surprised to see it come about. Instead of going after government over spending and waste, lets see how many new "revenue streams" we can create. I think it's high time we, the american people, take our country back from the idiots that are running it.
88TC 5speed, 160,000+, ranger roller, Evergreen T3, cone filter, manual boost controller.
One parts car still waiting to be taken apart.
Waiting in the garage: SC throttle body, SC intercooler, graphic equalizer, among other things.

Folks, I think we been "had" that does not look like the front page of the NYT...Excpechaly the part about rates of polka player's Colon cancer... And if I recall, April 1st was the other day..

I am absolutely no fan of Chucky, belive you me. But I got to call BS on this.

I received an email from SEMA about the article:


"SEMA Action Network Members:

Some of you may have received notice of an alleged New York Times article indicating that legislation was being drafted in the U.S. Congress to create a federal tax on collector cars. Hopefully, most of you know by now that the article was an April Fools Day prank. The author has indicated his regrets for any confusion or embarrassment to automobile collectors and enthusiasts caused by the prank.
