Seeking source for rubber window seal/trim.

Hi NATO Members,

I recall this was discussed years ago, but I can't seem to find that post. Please allow me to ask again, as follows:

Does anyone know a source, workaround or hack for the rubber strips that are on the outside and inside bottom or the driver's an passenger windows? It's the strips that keeps rain from rollng down the outside/inside of the window and into the door.

These rubber srips are so hard on my 1986 TC that while using the electric window motors, I still have to manually pull up and push down on the windows to get them to close or open. A real PITA, especially if it starts to rain while I'm driving.

I appreciate your replies and suggestions.

Regards,
Bret

JC Whitney is the place to get them. The following writeup covers the dew wipe replacement:

I'm not sure about the interior piece, though. I think the article only covers the exterior piece.

Thank you Brian for the link to the how-to post ( and 84TBirdTurbo42 too). JC Whitney still has the rubber material to make the repair.

Maybe this material will work for both the inner and outer? Will have to wait and see.

Just put two of them on my Santa list. Let you all know how it goes and have some pics when I get to it.

Cool site looks like a great solution, other than you pre 87 owners, FYI I just called them and steelerubber doesn't have much for the 87-88 body style, just pedal covers.
