Well I finally got the a-237 cam in the ol TC! This cam Rocks! I never relized how much the RR sucks (sorry to all that like it)! I dont know who said a237 loses low end torque, but mine actually picked some up over the ranger and I had it set at -2 degs! I now have it set 2deg advanced and it has way more torque than the RR. The cam pulls much much much harder than the RR. At 1000rpm idle speed the car idle at 17" of vacuum and has a nice little lope! I would say that the cam swap was worth alot more than what I though it would. I would highly suggest a cam swap to anyone with ported intake, head, and E-6. I now need to get my clutch and trans swapped, this car is getting really fun!

Hey sctur601... You have an IM240 type smog test down there in the greater Phoenix area, dont you? Next time you have to have a smog test done, let us know how the A237 does. I have heard that it is hard to pass the strict roller dyno emissions tests (like we have here in SE WI) with the A237, so I have stayed away from the bigger cams because of this.

I dont remember what kind of testing they do here! It goint through next month though, If it doesnt pass with this I will slip the ranger cam back in for a few minutes(if my friend hasnt put it in yet) to see if it will help. First I need to get the 3" cat on.
