i have goldie, my sandalwood tc, and i was wondering how rare you guys think this really is. i dont want number of gold and red and bla bla bla who cares?!?!? how much of a gem do you guys think this is.

i was contemplating painting it electra blue with gold trim, and leaving the gold interior. but the interior stuff is hard to find in gold,(i need a seat and a headliner/visor) and the gold is getting kinda..old. plus it has hail damage on hood roof and trunk, i could 'paintless dent repair it but...i still like the idea of painting the whole thing blue.

what are yall opinions about painting golde, and makin her blue? any and all angles and input is greatly appreciated.

For what its worth, here's my opinion on the subject. The Sandlewood color is very very rare. I think that might be the 3rd rarest color - 2nd being the 87 Silver-Blue & the 88-87 Vermilion Red. With that being said, if you are gonna keep it original, you'll have a car that not many of us have.

But I have always thought that with the Tan interior, the TC would look good in Black, Medium Red (Like Mine), or Dark Blue. The contrast of the interior & exterior would be nice. Good luck on your choice.

just my two cents, I had a blue silver 87TC back in 1995, standard options. I hated the color, was very happy to see it go. My 86XR7 is silver and dark grey on the bottom. Who knows how rare that is.

It's your car, do what you want with it. Since you asked,if it were my car, I would keep it Gold. That color is rare and looks great on the TC body. I'm looking for one in that color myself.

done, it stays gold. [Image: biggrin.gif]

i was on the fence completly, but now i agree, the gold is just two rare to lose. im thinking of a black(charcoal raven)interior swap. ill probably dye most of it, because i have the stuff, and im really good at it, but i think ill mix the gold with the black.

thanks for helping with this decision.

If you wantr to keep it totally original, the Black/Raven interior was newer an option with that coolr.

Actually, the Black/Raven was a factory color for the interior with the Gold exterior. There was a car in Eugene, OR that I looked at buying that had that exact combo from the factory. It looked really good. This car has leather. We would have bought it if the previous owner hadn't smoked in it with the windows up all the time. It smelled so bad that we were both nausiated by the time we got back from a quick trip around the block. I don't think the smell would have ever come out of the car.
