salvage yard dropped my motor from forklift

well, went to pick up the new used motor for my TC and while they were lifting it with the fork lift the chain slipped causing my $650 70,xxx mile motor to fall to the concrete with a deafing crunch, oil shot everywhere and the pan is completely malformed. it even cracked the manifold. needless to say i was heart broken. but they did promptly refund my money. i was so looking forward to dropping it in the weekend.

i swear when it comes to this car it could be raining vagina's and i'd get hit with a penis.

they are helping me locate another motor, and if they cant they said they would give them the old one to have checked out by the machine shop.

i guess its back to the search.

Wow, that sucks. How far did it fall? Most likely the engine itself is fine but it's certainly a "cheap" engine now...they should just give it to you, what else would they do with it?

Dave, let not your heart be troubled. When things like that happen to me it usually turns out for the best. You'll most likely find one with lower mileage and less expensive.

Was it raining vaginas when the motor fell? That could explain the fork-lift driver not paying attention.

it fell from about 10 foot, and landed on the turbo side of the motor. it would have been funny if it wasnt my motor, the forklift driver screamed and was apologizing like he'd just ran over my dog.

They have found another motor, but they want me to cover shipping from indiana oklahoma. i think i might just have mine rebuilt, a friend of a friend will rebuild it on his time for the cost of parts and my oldsmobile 455 boat motor

Having your friend rebuild it may be the best for you in the long run because you'd also be getting rid of the 455 boat anchor, oops, I mean, motor. Just kidding, sorry to hear about your TC motor.
