Well, here a few pics of my 85 TC, my wife was using for work (security) when doing her rounds and when she parked it and got out smoke started rolling out from under the hood and she went up in flames. [Image: frown.gif] [Image: frown.gif] It fixable, but it needs alot under the hood now. [Image: frown.gif] I guess this just gives me a reason to make it bigger and better right? I'm going to start tearing it apart this weekend. She called me after it happened and said we have a big problem, i was thinking dead battery or something like that. But when she told me it caught on fire, i was like speachless. Oh well, things happen. If anyone has a complete harness for sale i need one, perferably for a 87-88 TC (i have a La3 computer from a 5 spd 87 TC. Thanks for leting me ramble on, It'll look and run even better after i rebuild it, HEHEHE

Sorry to hear about your Bird. From the looks of that mess, you probably had a fuel leak.

You don't want a '87-'88 harness. None of the '85 plugs will connect to it, and the EEC test connector is in the ABS harness. Will be much easier to adapt the original type harness to a LA3

I'm not sure yat what started it yet, i'll find out this weekend when i taer into it. But i'm thinking the turbo might have developt a oil leak becaust it looks like it might have started under the turbo by the downpipe. OK, cool, thanks for the info on the 87-88 harness. Let me change that then. if anyone has a harness for my 85 TC, i'm looking for one please and thanks.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck TurboX, glad your wife was safe tho. When I bought mine it had had an engine fire too but after I got rid of all the burnt stuff it cleaned up great. The engine and tranny were already removed so it made it easier. Make sure all of your injector O-rings look ok. Good luck on making it bigger and better.

I have the harness, ecm (pk1), and spare engine out of an 85 tc sitting here. I was thinking of selling it all pretty cheap.
