I have looked around the web and cant find any road test or other "period" magazine articles for the 84-6 t-coupe or XR7 ..

only thingh I saw is the snippet on coolcats stating the cars run a 16.5 @87 1/4 mile ...

does anyone know a weblink or have any magazine articles scanned ?

I got a couple pre 87 articles. Not great scans but you can have them if you want them. Email me if interested

excellent Smile

I used my gTech to do couple 0-60s last nite and I'm curious how my numbers match with what the car did when she was new Smile

I have a car and driver copy of a one page roadtest of the 84 XR7 5speed...not 1/4 mile info. Then I also have 86 Motortrend issue with the 86Tc auto...only with 0-60 info....

I do remember some popular mechanics/science from 86 with the 1/4 mile info....

Good luck,

Travis

When the '83 TC was first introduced, it was compared to the Camaro Z28 and Celica Supra in the Jan '83 Road and Track magazine. The 1/4 mile data was 17.1sec @ 79.5mph, 17.5sec @80.0mph, and 17.0sec @ 81.5mph for each respectively. The '85 '86 would be better.

I'm too ashamed to tell yall what I ran until I can reference it....

I'd do a full 1/4 but my 15 yr old tires might just :poof:
