Replacing or reattaching the cigarette lighter receptacle

I checked the board, but could not find any posts on how to reattach or replace a cigarette lighter receptacle. My skills as a mechanic are lacking, but it just can't be that hard. Has anyone done that? My lighter receptacle pulled right out (along with a chrome ring) of the socket along with the lighter. Do I replace the whole thing, or simply reattach? Thanks folks. -Kent

Kent,
Just a stab here... but the receptacle should be part of the warning panel. If you pull the shifter bezel (2 screws at the seam just in front of the ashtray) and then pull up on the left and right side of the bezel by the front seam near the dash is snaps right out.

Then, two screws at the top of the center dash bezel, and two screws at the bottom and it comes right off.

Finally, 7mm socket to remove the 4 screws that hold the message center or warning panel (what ever it's called) and you should be able to see how to re attach everything then.

OK If it's not too cold this weekend, I will try this. Thank you Kevin. And I would love to have one of those Marauders. I showed one to my wife, and she commented,"looks like a cop car."....-Kent
