Replacing mirror glass

Here is one I couldn't find in the database:
My rearview mirror glass looks spotted and awful. I want to make it look like new. Is there any way I can replace just the mirror glass, and not the entire assembly? I have the autodim feature, etc... If so, where can I find the glass? Also, are there directions about how to do it? -Kent

I wouldn't bother. Put an add in the "parts wanted". There are probably tons of them out there cheap. The auto dim is held in by 1 screw, If remember corectly.
White '88 auto mostly stock, Black '88 5 speed nowhere near stock

If you want to go to a new rear view mirror, I understand that there are two models available from the glass shops. I am about to explore that avenue shortly since I am replacing mine in March so maybe I can come up with some numbers.

I own glass shop and I just look online for a replacement. The mirror is a two-way mirror and usually pressed into its place. Good luck replacing it.
