Repairing small vac line

I've got a break in a tiny (3/32 OD maybe) black plastic vac line, located on the passenger's side next to the vac tree. It passes through the firewall right next to the heater hoses. The vac line has something to do with the heater control, because when vacuum drops during accel, I get very little air out of the vents. Then after I let off the gas my vents (or defrost, floor) work again.

Any ideas for repairing this line? I've tried different types of tape, heatshrink tubing, etc but nothing lasts.

That stuff is awesome

Your best bet would be to replace that whole plastic line with regular vacuum hose. Second best would be to splice in regular hose at the leak and clamp the ends.

I have used both these methods with long lasting results.
