I have this white wax residue on my window trim and some on my body trim. You guys have any special stuff to get it off? Ive tried scrubbing it to death with soap with no luck.

thank you

3M makes a good wax solvent that won't hurt the finish. K1 kerosene works well. I used that on my on the tuff spots on the side molding.

The red stripe I have cleaned up real nice. I used a white scotchbrite pad.

Im talking about the rubber trim around the 1/4 windows, and the back window. after the last wax job it is really bad.

I use black shoepolish on the quarter windows because of the pitting. Use ONLY paste type polish if you go this route. Liquid polish will give you those vertical racing stripes when it rainsBig Grin

I always used a pressure washer to just blast it out of the cracks, but I like Pete's idea more.

all those may work, but ill let you in on a little secret ive learned workin in the paint and body business. Get your self a jar of peanutbutter, pref an old jar, and use the "oil" from the peanutbutter and it will take the old wax residue right off the trim, using this on a tooth brush works best

Could you just get some peanut oil, or is there a special ingredient in the butter?
