Hello,
I have an 87 TC that I’d like to remove the front seats from. I want to clean everything up and see if I can get the electric seats to move again but I can’t seem to be able to move the Seat forward to get to the rear bolts. Wrenches haven’t worked either and it’s real tight to to get any sort of tool in there.
Any help would be appreciated!

I understand your pain as I went through the same thing when I claimed the seats out of my old '88 as potential spares.
It really is difficult if not impossible to get any sort of tool on the bolts if the seat is in an unfavorable position. I think I had some success with a low-profile ratchet on one, and then had to use a breaker bar (small one with even less bulk than a ratchet) on another. Of course I had to use ratchets because the bolt was too rounded at the lone angle a mere wrench could bite.
Even so, "possible" was far from "easy" and only worked on a few bolts with much struggling.
In the end for me it was easiest to go under the car and cut the floorpan around the bolt, then remove the fasteners with the seats out of the car. Which is obviously not always desirable (in my case those new small holes were the least of the floorpan's issues, oof)!
One thing you can try is to hot-wire the motor connector with a direct connection to a battery. In other words: are you sure the motors are dead, or is it a switch or wiring issue instead? If you're not sure of the motor, unplug the harness and run jumper wires to a battery. If the motor is good it will move once you get the right terminals wires connected (a diagram will help). I actually did this on mine with some success. Unfortunately one would still not move which is why I had to resort to cutting the pan

I have had my front seats out so many times that I have stripped one of the floorpan nuts, on the drivers' right front bolt.
Obviously, this is not desirable.
I have never tried to remove the seats without power to them, allowing me to move them as necessary back and forth to get to the bolts. I can't imagine what Hell it must be like if you're unable to so.
Persistance, man. And ingenuity. Try disconnecting the wiring and hot-wiring directly to the seat motor.
