OK, I give up. How do I get the #$%*^#% EGR tube out of the car?

Let me play dumb and ask which end you are having problms with [Image: biggrin.gif]

If it's the exhaust manifold end, soak it for awhile with PB Blaster. Spend some time tapping the fitting lightly with a hammer to vibrate the rust. After prolonged soaking, heat it up and try to wrench it.

If it's the intake end, be arefull not to break the ears off the flange where the valve attachec to the upper. Pb Blaster there helps wether you take out the 2 bolts or unscrew the fitting at the valve. Some heat can help

Then to be technically accurate it would be "both ends". [Image: biggrin.gif]

Just being a smart aleck, couldn't resist, sorry. [Image: biggrin.gif]

Well it is clipped to another line running behind the head, and that clip is behind the head. It's like the clip that hold the two lines together that run down the passenger side of the valve cover.

If you need to replace the tube because it has rusted thru, etc, I suggest cutting it off at each end so you can get a box wrench or socket over each nut. Much less change if rounding off the nuts.

Yeah, I already cut both ends off. I'll try and find that clip behind the head. Thanks, Pete!
