What type of remote starter would you suggest?
I have one in my car no. But since it is a five speed, the module has to be initialized by putting the shifter from park to drive and back to park, well all I have is 1-5 and reverse, so I cant do it. I have the cluch swithc bypassed all reayd and my parkin brake fixxed, so im set, just need it to work, but it wont

I just looking to buy a new remote starter that I can use in 5spd form, any body have some suggestions?

How do you mean 'initialized'? Do you mean after the car has been started remotely? Of just to teach the unit that it is in park? Where does it want you to hook up wires for that particular signal? I think we need more information.

It can work just never leave the car in gear and it works, my friend has it on his 5 speed Acura, but he paid like 300 for the really expensive remote starter

The module has to initialized for it now its in park, etc. etc., I went threw the process of it doing it but thinking if I push in my clutch and used the clutch switch like it was the neutral safety switch on a automatic trans, I tried it many times, the hood has to be open, then closed, but my foot on the brake, put car in to park (pus clutch in), go down to drive (let clutch out back in, the out) to simulate going form park to drive, park is closed circuit, reverse open, neutral closed, drive open. Well I had enough of it for like an hour of messing with it, and I asked the company they said the module wont except that it cant be use on 5sapd, they said I have to buy the special manual trans module. but it is a auto command type (cheap brand) and I rather get a inexpensive high quality one anyway. I received it as a gift and plan on putting it in my father’s 92 Crown Victoria

Umm...just bypass the neutral safety switch. The switch is there so the car can't start without the clutch being pressed. If you bypass it you can start the car without the clutch being in. So it'll start like an auto. Just find a good website on car alarms. I've done it in a 5.0 stang, but not in a TC so I don't know the details.

I WOULD make sure the car's parking brake works flawlessly first!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as i know there is no such thing as a manual shift remote start. I have installed 2 Crimestopper Remote start kits.(Wifes Honda/auto and my 88Tc/5speed) As Blade mentioned before you just have to bypass the clutch switch. I have mine wired to a remote switch, that way i make sure its in neutral with the brake on before i arm the switch and I always turn it off before driving away.

Blade: i dotn have that problem. the modouel some how senses that the car goes form park to drive and back to park, there is now wires going to the shifter , i installed it my self, and was think just bypass it, but it needs to be initialized to be abelk to use the remote starter. Im just using the keyless entry right now which is nice but a remote starter woudl be gtreat. god damn other poel dont now what they are doing and out it these ina manual and they leave the ca rin gear ruins it for all of us!
