I recently discovered from the DORMAN company first hand that the tempo/topaz units are not available at the moment. I sent mine to S.U.R.&R. for repair. Have not yet found out what it's going to cost. I will report when I find out.

Just received my unit back from S.U.R.&R. I paid $97.00 shipping included. I was instructed that the cost was based on repair items needed up to $135.00 however mine only required a few items for repairs from what I was told. Was roughly a 2 week turnaround on the repairs. Great communications and quality workmanship.

I think this may be one of very few options remaining for our bird fuel level sending units.

I know that for my 84, the duel pump sending unit/ strainer is still readily available from airtex. Just ordered mine for under $100.

What about the 87-88 TC. They have a separate fuel level sending unit. Any ideas mine is rusted bad. Not gone but rusted.

I'd say contact the Vendor and see what they say. Please post the results so we know.

Unfortunately, the link in the first post doesn't work for me (dead link).

Has anyone had one rebuilt elsewhere? I did see a solution here in this thread: fuel level sender repaired

I contacted Surrauto and they don't rebuild the sender anymore. Andy Russell who used to do it no longer works for them. They did give me his number but it's not longer in service.

They also told me to contact Radiator Rich as he may do it. I need to get ahold of them still and will update this post.
