Has anyone ever swaped a TC rearend on a 6 cylinder 87? What needs to be done?

Umm... to put in a TC rearend? You'll need a new vam, long block assembly, T-5 w/short throw, TC driveshaft and rearend...

It's a direct bolt in, you will want to use your original brakes and axles though. You can use the TC brakes but it'll be a little more involved than just bolting in the axle.

This thread , this thread , and this thread contain discussions about replacing 7.5 rear ends with 8.8 rear ends. I think these threads will give you a good idea of what is involved. Your swap may be more involved, since it involves putting a quad-shock rear into a car that wasn't originally equipped for it. I don't know what additionally is involved in the quad-shock conversion.
