I can't figure this out.. I have the part out that you sit on but the backrest portion of the rear seats on my 88 is mind boggling how do u guys get them out?

You have to use a torx socket to remove the seat belt mounts at the bottom of the backrest. After that, the backrest just slides up and off the hooks.
