I know the 87-88 T-birds have the 8.8" rear, but what do the earlier ones have?

A quick search would have told you that they came with the weaker 7.5" differential.

1988 TC 5 speed, all options and none of the damn things work! Cracked exhaust seat on #2, cracked header on #3, no crosshatching on #2 in block. EGR delete (damn tubing broke LOL)
