The previous owners of my 87 tc apparently let the sun bake in the wax on the top of the rear bumper a little too long, so i'm now looking to swap the nicer bumper off my 88 onto my 87. I already removed those 6 little black plugs from along the bottom edge of the bumper, but what else do i have to do? the repair manual mentions 13 other nuts that i have to remove, but i couldn't find them.

Open your trunk, and remove the back panels from the body. Behind them there is a lot of screws that hold the bumper cover on.

Have you tried using adheasive remover on it yet? It should take it off.Depending on how long it has been there it might have some fading underneth.
