Rear brake troubles!

Major issue with the passenger side rear brake. The bird needed brakes in the back so off I went to repair and rebuild. Everything went fine up until I went to loosen the top caliper bracket bolt. The son-of-a-bitch will just not loosen. I've used PB Blaster a breaker bar and have had nothing in return other than a very close to stripped bolt. Does anyone have any clue on a way to loosen a siezed bolt? I'm down to vice grips on this piece of shit, and I'm way past the point of frustration.

I've ordered a new right hand bracket and pin kit from ford (right hand is the passenger side right?) so short of me cutting the f*cker off, I'm up for ideas.

Thanks,

-John

you may want to try heating it with a torch, that's how I got the nuts loose on the old turbo. Might work on the caliper, just be sure not to get the caliper too hot.

Sounds like you're describing the bracket that holds the caliper? Ditto on the torch. Also, once you get the bolt hot (this might be tough to do since it is on the backside) take a 2 lb hammer and rap the bolt head really hard a few times - this will help to break it loose. Only had a few times that this method did not work.
