Welcome to the new NATO Message Board! :happydance: Please be aware that we're still working on a few things, but overall we're good to go. And PLEASE read through this entire post before you do anything else! There are a number of new features we have with this updated software that we never had before here's a list of some of the new features:
  • Better and Faster Search Function
  • Ability to Insert Actual Photos into Posts Instead of Links*
  • Ability to Embed YouTube Videos into Posts*
  • Ability to Email Posts
  • Whole New Set of Smileys
  • Added Benefits for Supporting NATO Members (more on that in a minute)
  • Email Notification of Replies now Includes the Reply Text
  • Ability to Select the Board Style that Suits You Best
  • User Avatars
  • Many More Text/Post Formatting Options when Writing a Post

*A Note on posting photos, videos, and general forum etiquette. This is still a family friendly board. This means appropriateness of photos, videos, and language should be taken in to consideration when posting. Any photos or videos posted here should be "safe for work" (and children). Also - Photo and Video posting has been enabled to enhance posts. The object is not to have photos and videos become the whole post. please do not go crazy with this feature. We would like posts to have substance - not be 99% photos with three words to accompany them.

And As Promised (and stated above), Supporting NATO Members are going to get some extra benefits on this new board to include the following:
  • NATO Member User Icon
  • Space for 75 PM's rather than the standard 25
  • Ability to Upload 1Mb files rather than the standard 500kb
  • Access to the Members Gallery where you can upload photos up to 4Mb in Size
  • Ability to use the Shout Box
  • Ability to Upload or Link a Custom Avatar (Family Friendly)
  • 500 Character Limit on Your Signature instead of the Standard 250
  • No Time Limit Between Searches
  • Upload Double the Amount of Attachments

So everyone take a look at the images below and play around with the board. If there are any questions or concerns, check the "FAQ" link above or ask them here.

[size:14pt]AFTER YOU FINISH READING THIS POST: Please go through your Profile and Preferences (Under "My Stuff" at the top) and make sure everything is right and how you want it!

Also be aware that it will take some time to add all of our supporting members to the "NATO Members" group on this board. This is a manual operation and must be done one user at a time. It may take a couple of weeks to get everyone in there that's supposed to be in there. Bear with us - this is a big transition![/size]

Yes you can, Dom, because you are a supporting NATO member. It's just going to take time to get everyone who is supposed to be on the list, on the list. Once I get you into the "NATO Members" group, the benefits that come with it will be unlocked.

I figured with my last name I am at the bottom!! :happydance:

Hopefully I will be able to pay my dues shortly too. Are you adding that option as a link? That would be cool too.

I am sitting here playing around looking at the site and am enjoying the new features!! Great job.

I just finished adding everybody I could to the NATO Member list. I still have a lot of people who are paying members, but are not on the list because I could not match up their member information or email address to any user name on the board. SO - if anyone is a supporting NATO Member, but does not have access to the appropriate features on the board, send me a PM with your full name and email address and I'll try to match it up with the list of paying members and get you squared away on the board.
