Re-torque period?

I know on some heads you need to retorque after so many miles. I just did a head job(which went quite well), and i used the 1035, just wondering if there is a re-torque on these heads?

One question tho..did you re-use the head bolts, what kind of new ones did you get (6 point or 12 point head) or did you use studs?

Well the bolts i took out looked like the upgraded 6 point TTY bolts, so i got some 12 points and used them with the 3 step 30-60-90. The thing purrs, its great. I was just wondering because i know with some other heads i've done they're 5000 miles re-torque.

There is not retorque period in the manual. If you are not using the 6point bolts, then it might not be a bad idea to check them once a year. I like to do this with the head studs because I have seen them lose torque, significantly, on my engine. Can't speak for others.

I re-torqued my stock 12 points about 300 miles after my head gasket install. I loosened and re-torqued one bolt at a time to 30 ft lbs, then followed up again with the 60 - 90 procedure.
