Raven interior paint???

anasazi4st, thanks for the detailed reply... especially the paint codes. Seems that the raven or raven/charcoal would be close to the charcoal black color sold at LMR. I'll also check and see if SEM carries a charcoal black. May try a can and see how close it is on some spare parts I have. I'll update this thread when I get that done but may be a little while until I get around to that. Just finishing the sunroof seal and also re-flocked the sunshade. I'll post some pictures later on... came out pretty well actually!

Eric from cool cats did a lot of testing with raven colors until he found one that matched..let me see if I can find the message I had with him as my interior is raven as well..

Wow, lots of posts since my reply. And you got better answers than I could have come up with. But yes, Carquest here makes custom spray bombs based on scanning something. Heard its pretty good.
Also, I wouldnt just go about throwing money out the window. But when it comes to paint in general, I walk in and say "I hate repainting. Please sell me the best paint you have."
I do most of my exterior home repairs using aluminum or anything else I will never have to maintain. But if I have to paint something, I dont care how much it costs. I factor EVER having to scrape, sand, repaint into my decision.
Last bucket of paint I bought was for a 12x8 shed I built. The paint cost me about $100 for a gallon.
More fade resistant. Additives to inhibit mild growth. Etc etc
I cant say it works. I'll tell you in a ddcade or more i hope. Not the same as auto paint. But i simply hope that you get what you pay for. I dont mind painting. Repainting? I've got no time for that

I'm going to try the 1987-1989 Mustang charcoal black from LMR.  I do have to order 2 cans though, but also comes with a SEM paint prep.  In speaking with the LMR rep, he indicated that the color is not a true black but has has some blue and charcoal tint used on the dash pad and interior trim which sounds about right to me.  The A pillar trim on mine is pretty discolored so this should be an improvement.  I'll post an update once I try it out.

Well I did finally get around to checking out the Raven interior paint I got from LMR.  I had a kick panel I tested on, painted about 80% of the square area wanting to leave some of the area with the original color to see how well it matched.  Looks pretty much spot on as I can't tell any difference at all.  Looks like a excellent option for off the shelf Raven aerosol paint.
