I was coming out of the grocery store earlier today with my post-power outage supplies to restock the fridge and when I looked at the car I decided that I love the way it sits now; lowered, with the rear just slightly higher than the front. I did this almost a year ago, but it's not often that I look at the car from this angle and unobstructed. So I took a photo with my phone and figured, why not share...

Of course, in the photo you can't really tell how much it's lowered, but oh well... don't feel like taking it into Photoshop.

Know the feeling also... Nice pic your car looks great. My dads first turbo coupe was that same color car an '85. I love these cars lowered, for looks and handling. In my opinion your car would look awesome with silver or grey 18" wheels/40 series tires.

Makes me want to lower mine. What do you use to lower it? Just the springs?

Thanks fellas! I like it... The picture was taken far enough away so you can't really see the big ol' dent in the driver's door.

turbobird63 - I used nothing but tools to lower it. Removed the spring insulators and took a hack saw to the factory springs. Removing the insulators makes the biggest difference in the rear as you can't take much off the rear springs. I think I took a coil and a quarter off of each of the fronts. The best part... it was Freeeeeeeee!

Looks good Brian. I'm curious what effect cutting the coils has on handling? Yeah, neh or no change?
