trying to replace the stock radio that quit working. Durring install of the aftermarket radio, I found I had no ign turnon, replaced blowen fuse, and unpluged the factory amp in the trunk, now I have no ign, nor 12v battery. Anyone have any thoughts, and or a copy of the EVTM from ford on the radio wiring they could email? Also, whats the black box that sits next to the amp? has 3 wires (red, yellow and ground) and is connected to the harnes going to the amp?
thanks

was the factory radio a premium sound system? I take it for granted that it was as you stated an amp was in the trunk.
So if it is factory premium system there is actually 2 radio connectors in the dash , the one you probably are using is for the premium sound system ( wrong one) fish behind the panel there is another connector looks just like the other one that is the one you need to use, Ford in there better ideas wired the TC's for both Premium and Standard sound systems.

The EVTM shows an rf filter installed into the wiring harness at that location if the Premium Sound with Eq. is installed. Doesn't show one if just Prem. Snd.
