Radio and Seats don't work

Well the Radio and both the power Seats stopped working. The Climate Control and information pannel telling you if a door is open etc both work though.

I haven't checked every single fuse but it's not that then what might it be? I will try getting new battery terminal connectors because i've had my uncle have electrical problems fixed because of a crappy battery terminal connection, and the clamps going onto my battery are rusted and look like crap. Would that possible work?

If not what else might it be?

Well I was trying to figure it out and found this out;

Fuse 11 was blown, and even after I replaced that and turn the ignition to get power the fuse blows again, and again.

Help..

If the fuse keeps blowing immediately, you have a direct short from 12 V to ground somewhere. Where is the short? Who knows.... could be anywhere in the circuits fed by fuse 11. Time to start tracing down wires.

Well that would make sense because my buddy who helped me install the deck wasn't sure what to ground it to.. Because in the stock radio there is a red wire that held onto the back of the radio with a nut that grounded the sucker, and on the new deck there's a black grounding cable..

Do I connect them together to ground it? Or do I ground them both to the same source?

Roughly speaking, a ground is a ground.... any metal attached to the frame / chassis is a good ground. Be aware that some metal parts around the instrument cluster / radio are NOT grounded to the frame.

Noted..

But should I use both ground wires and ground them all to the same source?

Have someone who actually knows something about electrical systems check the wiring. From what I remember, radio power color codes are red = hot in run, yellow = hot at all times, and black (maybe with a stripe) = ground. If the red wire in the radio power harness is grounded, that is a direct short to ground.

what year is your tc? fuse 11 is a 20 amp circuit dedicated to only the power antenna actuator - yellow with black striped wire. look on your fuse block, if this is correct, then a lot of the wrong wires are cut, splice or pinched. jeff is correct about the wire colors for the radio-red is ignition switched (key power), yellow is 12v constant (memory), black is ground, orange is for illumination (if equipped with dimmer feature), blue is remote wire is for power antenna and amplifier (if there are two blue wires the striped wire goes to the antenna and plain blue to the amp),then you have the speaker wires, that are typically grey, purple, white and green with the striped always being negative (return wire).make sure that you did'nt accidentally pinch wires in the slides of the power seats if inoperative, let me know if you need more info
if you can't be a good example then you will have to serve as a horrible warning

The car is an 87..

And it says right in my 87 manual;

Position 11; 20 Amp. Fuse; Yellow; Radio, Tape Player, Premium Sound, Power Antenna

My antenna doesen't work, and neither does my radio. Fuse 11 is the one that blows every time, so that makes sense. And it's not because my deck is connected and not grounded.. I disconnected the new deck completely.

My seats don't work either.. And every other fuse is fine.. I will have to check the wires though..

I needed to ask though;

Where inside the dash can I ground 2 cables sepperately for my new deck? On what part am I able to ground to?
