Hi to all, it time for me to change my rad on my tc. The budget is low right now and i am planning to visit the junkyard to see if i can find one in aluminium that will fit in with minor mods.
I searched and i know that i can take one of a explorer, ranger ou b4000. My main concern is that i want to keep my stock dual fans, so i'll pass on these rads because they are square 18 by 18 inches.
Does anyone of you know another make/model of car that might fit there?
Thanks for the help,

A Fox Mustang radiator will swap in.. I don't know what your budget is, but a new one from Autozone would work. I had one until I installed the big 3 row a couple of months ago. I got the 3 row from Ebay cheaper than the Autozone piece, and it's been way more than I could have hoped for. The car stays super cool even in the wicked heat we had this summer (119 degrees!!!), and keeps my engine happy.

Hi Vinnie, sadly there is no fox mustang anymore in the junkyard since many years. My goal is that i want a aluminium, dont want again a standard rad, but the aluminium for t-bird are overpriced for me.
If i cant adapt one from watever make, ill buy the standard replacement. This is my daily/winter car, and the winter here are very bad on rads, we have snow from november to april, and standard rad dont take long to corrode because of the calcium on the roads.
By the way 119 degrees is awfully hot! i bet you start the car and get instantly in closed loop. the max this summer we had was 90.
Thanks

We had another 100 degree day yesterday, bringing the total days over 100 deg to 72. It has been a scorcher even for us used to the heat. Hardly any rain at all. good for driving the bird but bad for the crops and vegetation. My car has a 3 core and it don't overheat even in the 110 plus heat. Yes, I do drive it to car shows and run the A/C in that heat!

I'd show a pic of the radiator installed in my Thunderbird, but due to, um, certain reasons, I feel it's best to not show the pics I have. The pics may (or may not) offend certain people here, but I cannot confirm nor deny this as fact.
