Just going to throw this out there as I have no proof, but with that combo and weight, the stock IHI will run out of steam pretty low in the rpm's and not be very efficient at much more than 18psi boost. So, if there is a K&N filter, maybe some exhaust replaced with better items such as a 3" downpipe, maybe mid to low 14's. There is a section in here that lists the faster of our cars and what they have done to them to reach it. Also over at Stingers site, you can look at his formulas for "X" horsepower https://www.stinger-performance.com/faq.html
1988 Turbo Coupe, Black/Black, 5 Speed, Moonroof,  T3/T4 50 trim, ported E6, 255LPH, Kirban, 3" DP dual 2.5" w Hooker Maxflows, MGW shifter, K&N, Gillis valve, RR cam, Koni's
1964 Ford Galaxie 500XL, 390 6V, Big Solid cam, Headers,3.89's, 4 Speed, Vast and fast
1960 Ford Starliner, 292 Y Block, 312 4bbl intake, headers, 3 Speed, slow and low

The top 25 fastest tc list link doesn't work for me i wish it did.

I guess i should have said im looking for ETs with all the supporting mods and some weight reduction, above 3500lb w/driver. Basically no holds barred but the head, cam, turbo, & top mount need to be 100% stock.

With my old 87 5 speed tc with all those limitations and a stock cat & stock downpipe it went 1.85, 9.15 @ 73.66 14.5 @ 90.5. But that car had an issue with losing power in 4th gear as you can see it only picked up just under 17mph from the 1/8 to the 1/4.

I believe Martin0660 went 14.0 or 13.9 with the ihi back then but can't remember his mods or race weight.

Im looking at buying another one and keeping it close to full weight. I cant find any 5 speeds local but there is an auto. Im thinking of picking it up and enjoying it the way it is and doing a c4 swap in the fall and start with the basic mods and go from there. eventually i would install a gear vendors overdrive to make it more highway friendly but for now it wouldn't be bad with a 28" tall tire for the street and 3.55s.

Silver, your old 87 sounds about right with your [email protected] If the one you are looking at with the auto is in good shape, I would go for it as they are getting harder to find. Also the auto cars had 3.73 gears in the 8.8 rear where the 5 speed 87-88's had 3.55's. I would swap that auto over to a 5 speed, much more fun and cost effective, especially if you are looking at a gearvendors overdrive anyways. Just my thoughts though.

It is very clean no rust and bone stock. Im a stick guy through and through, Id prefer a 5 speed but i can't find one local to me. The 5 speed swap is a good idea. i think initially i would put some money into the a4ld just to buy time. Id have to put more thought into a 3 or 4 speed auto swap vs a 5 speed that would take what i eventually want to throw at it. The end goal down the road would be 12.0 to 12.5s with the appropriate mods.
