I need a quick fix on my '88 T-Bird with PRC. I can buy the Monroe Senstrac or Gas-o-matic. And the same brand for the rear shocks.

Is this a good temp fix, would like Koni, but I have to order them and don't know how long it takes to get shipped. I wanted to fix my T-Bird tonight!!. I like firmness, though

Maximum Motorsports can get you stuff in 3 days I bet. StangSuspension.com sells stuff cheaper and seems to be good, but I have no experience with them. You can run the Mustang stuff in the front (SN95 struts are what I run), but in the rear you'll want T-Bird specific shocks unless you want to modify the shock mounts or get shock extensions. If you're going to use parts store shocks definitely go with the KYBs over the Monroes, the KYBs are definitely better in my experience.

MM is really slow on shipping. But he is closer so it may be faster for him. Example, I placed an order on Saturday for some control arm bushings. Paid for 3-day shipping, got them on Friday night. Had I not paid for 3-day I most certainly would of gotten them on the following Monday. Why in the world they continue to use UPS is beyond me.

A little trick I used to do before buying Chuck's shock mount brackets was flipping the shock mounts. There is a write-up on the Fox boards in the Greatest Hits forum.

You can order a set of Bilsteins from Summit. They are pretty good on shipping, and Bilsteins work pretty darn good on my buddy's Stang.

Monroe's and KYB's are pretty much the same IMO.

I've used Sensatracs and KYB white shocks and could tell a small difference, the Sensatracs don't have enough control at higher speeds, like 70 or so and it won't handle the bumps and the car started bouncing on me while I was making a pass on a two lane road, maybe something else was going on but it scared me and the KYBs have been somewhat better.

I haven't bought anything from MM in a long time. That said I like UPS, but maybe it's just where you are. FedEx has lived up to their reputation here of being too hard on packages.

I end up getting the KYB's from Motion Dynamics here in Texas. He charged me around $140 a pair. I do need to change the rear. Should I go with KYB and KYB quads (if they sell them). I would like to change the springs also. Any particular brand? As you can see, I want a moderate stock upgrade. I wouldn't mind Koni's but they are a little to high for now.

Search for that info, can't run Fox Mustang springs in the rear but you can in the front.
