Pretty sure the 86's have TFI's.ESC's are found on Ford cars with the Duraspark ignition, and if I'm not mistaken 85 or 86 was the year they made the change over.Anyone else know for sure?

Too much fun, what's that mean? That's like too much boost, there's no such thing.

My 86 has a TFI module, controlled by the EEC-IV computer. The TFI is on the distributor, and is part of what makes setting the timing such a pain. The EEC-IV is under the passenger side kick panel, and I have had the pleasure of verifying the location of that computer many times.

Were *any* of the EFI turbo cars ever equipped with a Duraspark ignition? If there were, I've not seen one yet. I was under the impression that they were all EEC-IV equipped, since computer swaps are common.

I know the '85 and up were all TFI turbos. At least TCs, anyway. I'm not sure about '83-'84, though.
