Check our parts for sale section and post on some of the SVO sites as the early SVOs had the inline style upper intake. if that is what you mean. Also check e-bay
Check at http://www2.turbofrod.org for help with the wiring. Good luck with your project,
I'd like to hear more about it.

A-turbo,

What year and body style is your Model A?

As for the turbo inlet elbow, you'd have to find one off of another car that had has the Garrett T-3 turbo. Volvo 7-series turbos, as well as the SAAB 900 and 9000, for example, have the same turbo but the inlet bell is straight like you mentioned. They have a different compressor housing to the turbo, so you would have to swap the whole housing.

I'd say your best (read: cheapest and fastest) route would be to get the right diameter of pipe (3") and weld a flange on to the pipe, with corresponding bolt holes to match the T-bird compressor housing on the turbo.

Or, take the 30 degree inlet bell that is there now, vut off the flange, and weld it to a short section of pipe.

Or, you could swap in the whole turbo from a Volvo, for example. Every time I see one in a junkyard, the cooler is gone but the turbos are always there [Image: biggrin.gif]
Did you hear about the Lucas powered torpedo? It sank.

Sorry, forgot you had the Warner turbo on the 87, not the Garrett.

Buick Grand Nationals and Regal Turbos had the striaght inlet bells, but the compressor housing is a little bigger and is not a bolt-on for other T-3 turbos.
