The local gas station that carried 100 octane stopped carrying it, so now I have to find another place to get it. This sucks cuz the station was about 3 miles from my house. Anyways, before I parked the car for winter, I filled up with Ethanol-Free Pure Premium 93 (94 maybe) octane, and the car has been running awesome with it this spring. I was wondering if anybody else has experience using this and what your thoughts are.

I used to be able to get Sunoco 94 ultra in my town. When the gov... raised minimum wage, the little station closed.

I have been using AMACO ultra 93. Every bit of octane will help. I use methanol injection with WB tuning, so the one octane point is not quite as bad as some. I really feel for those Commifornia guys....max is 91 octane.

I used to get my race fuel at the Holiday station at the intersection of Marshall and Hamline, but they don't carry it anymore. The only place I know of that has the 93 Pure Premium is in Maplewood. Gotta find a new source for 100 octane...

I was told there was a BP that offers 100 and 110 (i think) octane here in apple valley. I haven't found it yet though, but a dyno shop told me that.

It's not so bad here except for the price. I read in the owner's manual that our cars were tuned for 87 octane. As they get older they require more of course, but I use 89 midgrade and it runs just fine for me with no detonation. On the pumps, if you read closely, it will say 87 (or 89 or 91, whatever) minimum octane rating. Sometimes it's higher depending on the brand of gas you buy.

Your local small airport may sell aviation gas that is 100 octane, just watch to see that it is unleaded so it doesn't screw up your o2 sensor. And you may have to take cans as they may not let you pump it directly into your car. And of course, it will be pricey. I've never tired but have heard of others that have done so.
Or try to Google for racing gas in your area.

Sunoco got rid of the Ultra 94 everywhere. It's now Ultra 93.Have no idea why.The Sunoco out here has racing fuel, something like $6.00/gal. F that.Found out E85 has a 105-108 octane rating, for under 2 bucks a gallon.I'm gonna try it out soon, with no injector mods.

You can buy the octane booster Toluene from just about any automotive paint store. I don't know how pricey that route is, though.
