PS pump with connected reservoir?

Anyone every adapt a Mustang style PS pump with the attached reservoir to the 2.3T setup? I have one from a 92 Mustang, and looking at the clearances it seems that it will fit, it would just be a little tough getting the cap off.

I'm curious in case I have to replace the pump someday. If possible, I'd like to use the attached reservoir to cleanup the engine compartment some.

the pumps are the same. the reservoirs are different and they are easily interchanged. that said...not sure if the mustang reservoir will clear or not...

Fairly simple job with a pulley puller, no?

You cant use a regular puller to remove the pulley. There is special tool used to remove / install the pulley that you can either buy from harbor freight or rent from the parts store.

With the right tool it's an easy job. The attached reservoir is stock on '86, no remote there. I've held the attached reservoir up to the 87-88 PS bracket and you may have to trim a little on the bracket for the filler tube.

I have the stang pump in the mounting bracket off of that car. It looks quite similar to the TC bracket in terms of bolt holes.

Think it will work to avoid trimming? If their is clearance for the reservoir, I could swap the brackets out and not even worry about pulling the pulley.
