Now i'm not sure what's going on, but I parked on a hill a few weeks ago and used my E brake just for kicks, well, when i released my brake, the pedal only came 9/10 of the way up, and the light is staying on, it won't stay all the way up and it's driving me crazy... i almost resorted to duct taping the thing... anybody have any suggestions?

I'm wondering if the e brakes released all the way. Or maybe one of the cables is binding. If you don't use them consistently, cable bindup is often a problem and it is not just with Tbirds.

I released the brake all the way, it's just that the pedal isn't staying in the up position, I can lift the pedal into place with my foot, but it drops back down if I so much as close the door. I'll check the cables and get back to you though...

If you want to turn off the red light because it is annoying, just reach up at the top of the pedal assy and remove the single wire connector at the switch. Should take you under a minute.

Actually the brake didn't release all the and the cables are binding. If they had released the pedal would be all the way up. The left cable is usually the one. Reach under the car, grab the cable and work it back and forth over its length. That will usually release it.

Dude, it worked, awesome, i really appreciate it! and at the same time i'm pissed at myself for not realizing that myself, and at the lost horsies with that tiny bit of drag...
Thanks again,
Ted
