probaly another stupid question

hey this has probaly been answered numerous times before, but i have an 84 Tbird, and was wondering, i got a free 1987-88 fender for free. will it fit on my 84?
and also, will the hood fit as well?

yup, afaik the differences are in the rear trunk area around the window. if you put the 87/88 hood on grab the inter cooler setup as well that should let you play a bit more.

i believe the fenders are different at the nose. the hood will work fine though. and like trashline said, get the intercooler and use it.

There's very little sheet metal that's usable from '87/'88 to pre '87. The fenders are listed as being different. The hood is the only thing I'm certain will interchange.

I thought the only difference in fenders is the molding? I know the header panel is different as well.

is it possible to change over to a full 87/88 nose ? IE fenders, header panel, hood, bumper cover?

yes, thats what i thought it looks like the bumper wraps around onto the fender on the 87-88
im getting the intercooler setup, and the disc brake rear end assembly, as well as the dual power seats

87/88 fenders are not the same as 86 and older the only body part that will interchange is the hood. When I bought the 88 parts car I had I bought it with the plan of putting the sheet metal from a 86 on it and then I would have a cheap car to beat around. The body lines don't line up and would look like crap.

well i cant complain i guess, i got a disc brake rear end, and passenger power seat, intercooler setup and factory 84 rims for free so,
