Hey all... found a couple of really good articles about brake rotors. This should help clariry alot of issues some have wondered about.

Precautions On Composite & Cast Rotors
http://www.babcox.com/editorial/bf/bf110014.htm

..."But Ford had some problems with composite rotors on some of its early applications, prompting a switch back to one-piece cast rotors on certain newer models and the publication of a service bulletin (#91-8-9) saying it was OK to replace composite rotors on the 1986 to 91 Taurus and 1988-91 Continental with one-piece cast rotors."

CAUTIONS ON COMPOSITE DISC BRAKE ROTORS
http://members.aol.com/carleyware/library/rotors1c.htm

..."Some of the earliest applications for composite rotors were the 1982 Lincoln Continental, 1984 Ford Mustang SVO, 1987 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe, and 1988 Ford Taurus"

Read the entire articles, then read them again so you don't pick out only the pieces you want to hear.
