PRC Trouble code

So my firm light has been blinking while in auto mode since I bought the car. I found how to check the codes in the FAQ. –Put the jumper on, started car, removed. The light went out then repeatedly flashed twice - Same as it was flashing when driving in auto mode. So I guess the fault is the back right actuator circuit. Another thing I noticed is when I switch the car into run mode I hear three clunks or like someone tapping on glass coming from the back right.

I’m hoping someone here could help put me in the right direction to find out what exactly is the problem and how to correct it. If anyone has got a bit of helpful info, some links or suggested reading I’d really appreciate it. I’m thinking I might just try replacing the actuator with one from my parts car first. That would be a nicer fix then trouble shooting the electrical.

BTW- Got my car out of storage for the first day of the season yester day! Pretty pumped about it.. except $1.30/L for 92 octane...

Thanks

The problem is usually the cable. Check it for deterioration and if you have a spare from the parts car, replace it. If no spare, you may have to repair it. Also in the faq's.

Thanks, I'll check the cable first.

I'm going to take a trip out to strip some parts from my parts car, so I guess I might as well grab an actuator or two anyways. Does anyone know if they are interchangeable? As in- Can I remove one from the front (cause it's easier to get at) and install it in the rear?

Thanks
