I have found some NOS Motorcraft struts on the internet. I would like to buy them if they are the right parts.I saw some photo of them and they look like 1987-88 Turbo Coupe PRC struts. The part # on the box is E7SZ-18124B. I did a search here and saw -18124A and -18124C as numbers for PRC struts, but not -18124B. Is this a legitimate PRC strut part #?

Those are the non-PRC struts. You can look up Ford Part Numbers at silverstatefordparts.com.

You could be right, but I hope your wrong because I just bought them. The price was too good to let them go if there is any chance they are PRC struts. I have a CD copy of the 1980-1980 Ford Master Parts catalog (it's enormous), and according to it E7SZ-18124 is the correct part number for the 1987-88 TC PRC strut, but it doesn't show any letter after the last number so it's a bit confusing as to what the A,B, and C at the end means. Anyway I'll know for sure next week when they get here.

Well, I hope so, but the part number on the one's I just bought ends with "B". If you look at the part number list on this site it shows E7SZ-18124-A as the PRC strut part number, so I'm still not sure.

According to silverstatefordparts.com the "B" is w/o turbo and the "C" is with turbo. The "B" also fits those with 6 and 8 cylinders.

that last letter is just the revision of the part. also... when you're taking yours apart, you can verify what came off the car and post here for everyone to know. thanks!

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping. According to the Ford Master parts catalog, the first part of the is the most important, E7 is 1987, S is for the Thunderbird model, Z is for the Turbo Coupe submodel. A part starting with E7SZ or E8SZ seems to be specific to the 1987-88 Turbo Coupe. The 18124 number seems to be a common designation for the front strut across many different models.
