PRC Shock/strut conversion question

Hi everyone. I’m getting ready to do new shocks/struts on my 88 TC, been doing a bunch of reading through the forums/stickies, but I have a couple quick questions before I start spending some $.

I’ve decided to go with the SN95 Koni Orange STR-T setup. I think I may even go with the quad shock setup as well.  From what I’ve read, I need to get the shock brackets from 23parts.com, so far so good.

My questions are these:

1. For the front struts…I may as well replace the front strut mounts while we’re doing this. I like the maximum motor sports caster/camber plates, but it appears that others have just got front strut mounts from Napa. If I were to go the Napa route, which ones am I looking for?

2. Obviously this disables the PRC. From what I’ve seen, it’s as simple as unplugging the computer in the trunk. For state inspection purposes, does simply unplugging the computer cause a light on the dash to come on, or throw a CEL code? Or am I over analyzing this and it is really that simple?

Thank you for your input!

I didn't unplug the PRC computer in the trunk, just at each shock/strut. No CEL on the dash.
