OK so i jumped out the 2 pin connector under the ashtray and the firm light kept comming back fault code 1-LH rear activator circuit. started to take the trunk apart to find said activator with no such luck..any ideas on a quick fix for this problem, man i cant stand the roll and cant afford the suspension upgrade at this time. also while doing this test if you depress the brake pedal the firm light comes on steady, at that point I hear this click sound (in the back seat driverside) then when you let off the brake the light goes out in about 2 sec and same clicking sound. would love to fix this prob, today

Are you saying you cant find the activator? It is right on top of the shock with 4 wires coming out of it. The quick test for a bad activator is to switch it with another one and see if the code follows the activator.

The loud clunks from the trunk are the soft and hard shock relays tripping. Perfectly normal.

It's inside the trunk. IIRC you have to pull the inner liner back to get to it.

If the car is rolling too much you should take a peek under the car at the sway bars front and rear.

Take off the left plastic panel over the wheel well. The shock has a white plastic U shaped clip holding the actuator to the shock, not screws like the front. The firm ride light is supposed to come on when the system is on AUTO and the brake is depressed, the front struts going to firm ride to keep the front end from dipping during hard braking. Snow has been canceled in Boston due to rain.

Front: bushings and end links worn out; rear: loose bolts. Stock bars are adequate, after market bushings and links can tighten things up.
